south to look up at the Moon in the Northern
Hemisphere.
They are intended only to indicate whether
the left side or right side of the Moon is
darkened, and the actual appearance of the
Moon may be different. Note that in the
Southern Hemisphere, the Moon will
appear with the light and dark portions of the
indicators reversed.
