Controlling the Keyboard Sounds
• Two tones, one for the left range and one for the right
range of the keyboard (page EN-14)
This configuration uses the UPPER 1 part and LOWER part
(Layer: Off, Split: On).
• Three tones, two layered tones for the right range and
one tone for the left range of the keyboard (page EN-14)
This configuration uses the UPPER 1 part, UPPER 2 part,
and LOWER part (Layer: On, Split: On).
• Changing the tone setting affects the UPPER 2 part when
Layer is turned on, and the LOWER part when Split is
turned on.
• To change the currently part affected by a tone change,
press and then release
bl
TONE
, and then long press
bl
TONE
again. This will cause the pointer (
) next to the
part indicator on the display to move. Repeat long pressing
of the
bl
TONE
button until the pointer is next to the part
you want.
• When you have multiple DSP tones selected, the DSP tone
effects assigned to the UPPER 2 and LOWER parts may
become disabled.
• Check to make sure that the U2 (Layer) and L (split)
indicators are not shown on the display before starting this
procedure. If either indicator is displayed, press

and/or

SPLIT
so they are not displayed.

Select the first tone you want to use.
Press

and then use the

number keys, and

[–] and [+] keys to select the tone you want.

Play something on the keyboard.
Both tones sound at the same time.
