• Removing the button batter y from the calculator causes
independent memory contents and values assigned to variables
to be cleared.

• To ensure that you do not
accidentally turn on power while
replacing the battery, slide the hard
case onto the front of the calculator.

On the back of the calculator, remove
the screw and the battery cover.

Remove the old battery.

Wipe a new battery with a dry cloth,
and then load it into the calculator with
its positive
k
side facing upwards
(so you can see it).

Replace the battery cover and secure
it in place with its screw.

fx-82ES/fx-83ES: This calculator is powered by a single AAA-size
battery (R03 (UM-4)).
fx-350ES: This calculator is powered by a single AAA-size battery
(LR03 (AM4)).
Replacing the Battery
Dim figures on the display of the calculator indicate that battery power
is low. Continued use of the calculator when the battery is low can
result in improper operation. Replace the battery as soon as possible
when display figures becomes dim.
Even if the calculator is operating normally, replace the battery at
least once every two years (R03 (UM-4)) or one year (LR03 (AM4)).
