2. Installation
•
Connect the product to the main socket ensuring that the voltage is the same
as found on the rating plate which is found on the back of the unit.
•
Make sure the unit is safely grounded before switching on.
•
To replace the power cord, ensure that the same type of cable is used. This
must be done by a professional technician.
•
The installation and the maintenance of electrical connections, should be
done by a professional certified technician.
•
BEFORE INITIAL USE - Turn the thermostat to 300°C. Close the lid and allow
the toaster to “burn in” for about 30 minutes. You will notice smoke appearing
due to the internal protective mill-board burning in. This is normal.
•
In the case of non-stick plates, remove the label off the surface and wash the
plate with soapy water, “Condition” the surface with a thin coating of oil or fat.
Set the thermostat to 240°C.
