Replacing the CDC Sensor Cable
REMOVAL
1. Detach the frame cover.
(See [D-1: Removing the Frame Covers].)
2. Disconnect the 4P connector at the power supply board. (Fig.
1)
3. Cut the cable clip which fixes the CDC sensor cable to the
frame. (Fig. 2)
4. Detach the CDC sensor cable from the CDC sensor set. (Fig.
3)
ASSEMBLE
1. Connect a new CDC sensor cable to the CDC sensor set. (Fig.
3)
2. Adjust the position of the CDC sensor.
A. Rotate the CDC sensor around the screw. (Fig. 4)
B. Rotate the CDC sensor around the screw, and adjust the
sensor so that it can be positioned to parallel with the CDC
magnet with the condition that the sensor does not touch the
magnet. (Fig. 4)
3. Connect the 4P connector at the end of the CDC sensor cable
to the power supply board. (Fig. 1)
4. Perform tests on the parts as specified for mounting and re-
placing the parts.
[Tests]
A. Connect the control unit and the 5P cable without mounting
the cover. (Fig. 2)
B. Turn on the power of the main unit, and rotate the pedal
under the manual training mode to check that the cadence
on the control unit will change.
C. Then, turn off the power and detach the 5P cable from the
control unit.
5. By using a cable holder, fix the CDC sensor cable to the frame
together with the power cable. (Fig. 2)
6. Assemble the frame cover.
