RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AN OPTIMAL USE
• Visually inspect the PPE before use.
If a defect is detected, the garment should be replaced.
• Articles of protection clothing : this is a one piece suit (AFG
-1 coverall) to protect the torso, the arms, and the legs at the same time.
• The use of additional protection such as gloves, hoods etc. may be necessary
for full-body protection.
• The correct performance of the garment requires it to be correctly fastened at a
ll times. Ankles and wrists must be covered. The top
garment has to cover the pants in all circumstances (movements, bending forward…) and make sure that the lower back is always
recovered.
• To protect against electrostatic charge, it’s better if
the PPE is
in contact with the wearer’s skin to allow dissipation of the charge.
Appropriate antistatic footwear or bracelet must be worn and if necessary, the operator must be earthed.
• The environmental conditions and risks associated with the operator’s surr
oundings must be considered.
•
Specific point : your jacket or your coverall may close with an anti-panic zip to allowed to quickly take off the garment in case of
danger.

RECOMMENDATIONS AGAINST IMPROPER USE
• This PPE must not be used against risk
s other than those previously described.
• Dirt, and molten metal adhering to the garment may affect its performance.
• This PPE does not protect against the aluminum splashes.
• Never remove the garment when in an explosive or flammable environment or
when handling explosive or flammable material.
• In case of inflammable projections, or molten splashes, remove the garment
in a safe place.
• An increase in the oxygen content in the air may considerably reduce the level of protection offered by the PPE.

Sleeves may not be rolled up.
• This garment is not intended for fire entry, structural or wildlands firefighting activities and provides no personal prote
ction from
chemical exposures.
WARNING !
Protective garments will not protect you against all exposures and under all conditions, even when worn properly. Do not use your
garment if it is wet, dirty, cracked, abraded, torn or altered form. Use extreme caution for all operations. The upper and lower body
including the neck, arms to the wrists and legs to the ankles, are protected and covered by the clothing. Additional protection for head,
hands and feet are required to protect the wearer from the effects of heat and flame. The jacket or top garment must be worn with
trousers. Useful life the garments depends on the use of the PPE, maintenance, storage, etc.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
The washing frequency is based on the degree of soiling that varies according to the working conditions. Close all loop&hook fasteners
and zippers. Empty all pockets. Launder separately, never mix with non-flame resistant items. Recommended washing temperature is
40°C (104°F). Turn the garment inside out to avoid any deterioration due rubbing against the washing machine drum. No bleach product
may be used. Do not use washing powder containing soap or chlorine. Liquid detergent is preferred. Do not use fabric softeners. Do
not put under sunlight. Tumble dry garments at low temperature settings or hand dry away from light source. Iron at regular
temperature.
-Do not wash above 40ºC (104ºF).
-Bleaching is not allowed.
-Iron at regular temperature 110ºC (230ºF).
-Tumble-dry at reduced temperature. Maximum 60ºC (140ºF)
