Specifying the BIOS Boot Protocol
FCoE boot from SAN is supported in UEFI mode only. Set the platform in boot
mode (protocol) using the system BIOS configuration to UEFI.
Configuring Adapter UEFI Boot Mode
To configure the boot mode to FCOE:
1.
Restart the system.
2.
Press the OEM hot key to enter System Setup (
). This is also
known as UEFI HII.

NOTE
FCoE BFS is not supported in legacy BIOS mode.
NOTE
SAN boot is supported in the UEFI environment only. Make sure the
system boot option is UEFI, and not legacy.
