3.
Install the binary RPM containing the new driver version. Refer to the
linux-nx2 package README for instructions on how to prepare a binary
driver RPM.
4.
Enter the following command to update the ramdisk:
On RHEL 6.
x
systems:
dracut -force
On SLES 11 SP
x
systems:
mkinitrd
5.
If you are using different name for the initrd under
/boot
, be sure to
overwrite it with the default, because
dracut/mkinitrd
updates the
ramdisk with the default original name.
Also, verify that your appropriate entry for the boot from SAN setup uses the
correct or updated intrd name in
/boot/grub/menu.lst
.
6.
To complete your driver upgrade, reboot the system and select the modified
grub boot entry that contains the updated initrd.
Errors During Windows FCoE Boot from SAN Installation
If any USB flash drive is connected while Windows setup is loading files for
installation, an error message will appear when you provide the drivers and then
select the SAN disk for the installation. The most common error message that
Windows OS installer reports is shown at the bottom of the Windows Setup dialog
box, as shown in
