Description
Link Speed
The link speed you choose applies to both adapter ports. The link speed and the for-
ward error correction (FEC) must match that of the connected switch or device port.
Auto Negotiated
(default) specifies that dual-port 25Gb adapters auto-negotiate
available speeds and link parameters (FEC, Pause) over DAC connections
a
. FEC
is negotiated in Auto Negotiated mode. 10GBASE-T is also auto-negotiated per
standards.
1Gbps
sets the port link speed to 1Gbps. Select this option only when a 1G trans-
ceiver is installed on the port. FEC is not supported.
10Gbps
sets the port link speed at 10Gbps. FEC is not supported.
25Gbps
sets the port link speed at 25Gbps (25Gb adapter only). BASE-R FEC
(Fire Code) is optional. Reed-Solomon FEC (RS-FEC) is not supported.
