On the iSCSI Initiator Configuration page, configure the parameters as
shown in
Figure 9-16. System Configuration: Setting iSCSI Initiator Parameters

On the iSCSI Boot Configuration Menu, select
iSCSI General
Parameters

On the iSCSI General Configuration page, set the
TC/IP Parameters
via DHCP
to either
Disabled
(static), or
Enabled
(DHCP).

On the iSCSI Boot Configuration Menu, select
iSCSI First Target
Parameters

On the iSCSI First Target Configuration page, configure the following
parameters:
Connect
: Set to
Enabled
IPv4 Address
TCP Port
Boot LUN
iSCSI Name

Save the settings and reboot the server.
2.
Mount the OS ISO and proceed to install SL12-SP1 OS on iSCSI disk over
L2. At the beginning of the installation, pass the following boot parameter to
inject latest drivers:
dud=1
3.
To complete L2 BFS, follow the on-screen instructions.
4.
When installation is complete, boot into the OS using IBFT over L2.
5.
To migrate from L2 to L4 and configure MPIO settings to boot the OS over
offloaded interface, follow these steps:
a.
To update open-iscsi tools, issue the following command:

rpm -ivh qlgc-open-iscsi-2.0_873.109-1.x86_64.rpm --force
