Cleaning mineral deposits
Mineral deposits built up in the unit might affect the machine’s operating. It is important to
remove and clean them to keep the coffee machine operating efficiently. Quality of used water
and use will determine how often these deposits have to be cleaned.
It is recommended to carry out an Autocleaning cycle after each 1000 uses. If it is used 1000
working cycles, the machine will emit a reminder signal when turned on and the indicator lights
will blink in red twice.
1.
Fill the water tank with water and descaling product up to the MAX. level. Citrus can also
be used.
Note:
Water and descaling proportion is 4:1.
2.
Press the On/off button, the machine will start preheating and the indicator light will turn
on steady.
3.
Insert the portafilter in its position and make sure it is securely fitted.
4.
Place a large container (approx. 2 L) on the cup-holder tray. Make sure it is big enough so
that water coming out from the water tube, nozzle and steam tube can fall inside it.
5.
Press and hold the Hot water button for 5 seconds for the machine to enter Autocleaning
mode.
6.
Turn the steam knob to the MAX. position. Hot water with descaling product (or the used

process will take from 10 to 15 minutes, then the coffee machine will turn off.
7.
Once it has finished, fill the water tank with clear water and repeat these steps until there
is no more descaling product.

and does not involve malfunction.
– During the Autocleaning process, the steam knob must not be set at “0”. The machine will
beep once to remind it must be turned to the MAX. mark in order to clean the steam tube.
