(a) Volume control & on/off switch The volume control is used to set the desired
listening level and turn the devices on/off. The output is, however, limited and
will not exceed uncomfortable levels (for a typically normal ear). It is,
nevertheless, recommended that the instruments are not used on full volume for
prolonged periods, but at a comfortable listening level only. The function of these
devices is to act as a noise plug and not a hearing aid.
(b) Battery tray Allows easy access to the battery to facilitate replacement. Place
a fingernail under the notch, then lift to open the battery tray for battery
replacement. Lifting the battery tray will not cause the battery to fall out.
(c) Microphone The microphone is positioned under the switch position (d) and
the ambient sounds are picked up and fed into the instrument. It also features a
wind/noise reduction system with rain splash guard to protect the microphone.

Pressing this button will allow the user to toggle between memories. A single
bleep indicates programme 1 and a double bleep indicates programme 2.
(e) Ultra comfortable clear tip - for extra comfort in the ear canal. This super soft
