1. Clean and lubricate all moving parts including gears, ratchets, and shafts to insure
safe operation. When not in use, keep clean, dry, and covered.
2. Purge air from hydraulic system when jack does not lift efficiently.
3. Replace hydraulic oil once per year.
Purging air from the Hydraulic System
note:
Occasionally, air bubbles can become trapped inside the hydraulic system thereby
reducing the efficiency of the jack. Purge air from the system as needed.
1. Place the slotted end of the Jack Handle (21) over the valve release screw.
2. Turn the valve release screw (not shown) 1-1/2 turns counterclockwise using the Jack
Handle.
3. Remove the oil filler plug on the side of the Jack (not shown) by gently pulling and
turning.
4. Rapidly pump the Jack Handle several times to purge air from the hydraulic system.
5. Turn the valve release screw clockwise until snug using the Jack Handle.
6. Replace the oil filler plug.
Replacing Hydraulic System Oil
Caution:
Replace the oil once per year, or more often with heavy use. Do not permit dirt or
any substance other than high quality hydraulic jack oil to enter the hydraulic system.
Do not mix different kinds of oil together.
