10. Check the function of the upper and lower optical proximity switches:
—
Move the grip to a paddle in manual operation.
—
Use the "Service" menu option in the "Manual control" menu at the CMI to
switch to teach mode.
—
Move the lift down towards the paddle. Avoid a contact between grip and
paddle.
—
Move the lift incrementally upwards towards the paddle located above the lift.
Avoid a contact between grip and paddle.
—
If necessary, reposition the limit switches or regulate the sensitivity of the limit
switch.
11. Check the cover sheet for contact with moving parts. Realign the cover sheet if it
has contact with moving parts.
12. Check the settings for maximum and minimum speed and acceleration. If
necessary, change the settings at the potentiometers mounted on the printed
circuit boards in the drawers below the wafer storage lift.
10.12.4
Checking the Lift Grip
CAUTION!
Use only Metaflux Biolub paste for lubricating the subassemblies.
If you use other lubricants, the components will become gummy. This will impair the
operation of the subassembly.
1. Check the motions of the lift grip for evenness and noise emissions. If necessary,
clean and lubricate the components. Readjust or replace components if contact
surfaces are found. To find a contact surface:
—
Dismount the grip and take it apart.
—
Open the driving unit.
—
Remove the driving unit.
—
Manually move the mechanism.
2. Check if the closed grip holds the process boat safely and without abrasion. The
distance between the open grip and the process boat must be at least 5 mm on
both sides. If necessary, adjust the limit switches.
3. Tilt the grip on both sides into both directions manually while the lift is moving up or
down. In each case, the lift movement must be stopped by the interlock.
