Operation and Handling
The operating company must
—
ensure a permanently faultless state of operation of the assembly group resp. the
equipment,
—
adequately train the operating personnel,
—
take suitable precautions to ensure that the operating personnel is safe against
burns caused by hot components such as paddle, process boats or wafers when
working with less automated handling systems,
—
provide an online monitoring and gas analysis system within the gas cabinet of the
inhouse supply,
—
have the first meter of the inhouse gas exhaust system which runs above the toxic
gas exhaust made of material which can resist the hot gases which stream
upwards when the process tube opens,
—
connect the overpressure line to the overpressure valve in the gas cabinet if the
system is equipped with one or multiple water-cooled heating cassettes. The
overpressure line must be resistant to hot water steam of max. 150 °C.
—
take measures against electrostatic charging,
—
take care that only trained persons work with the equipment.
The operating personnel must report every relevant change within the functional
process of the equipment.
Never put objects into the process tube which could endanger people or equipment, e.
g. explosive materials, living objects, etc.
Inexpert handling of the gas system can lead to danger of causticization, burning,
poisoning and/or explosion. Any servicing of the gas systems and its control system
should be carried out by the manufacturer or by trained workers according to
instructions of the manufacturer!
Protective doors can house voltage-carrying or hot parts or parts that are moved by
force which can cause electrocution, burns or mechanical injuries. Do not open the
protective doors during operation!
Paddle, process boat and wafers are hot after processing. Wait out the cooling time
before removing the process boat manually.
