Update terminals allow users to program,
validate and lock their locking media in V-NET
themselves. Update terminals also have a door
opening function.

3.3.1 Variants of OMEGA FLEX locking devices
Locking devices are available in LINE and V-NET variants. In the LINE variant, the authorizations are stored in
the locking device (in online and offline systems). In the V-NET variant, the authorizations are stored in the
locking medium. The version of the variant determines for which application and which type of
administration the locking device is suitable.
