Introduction
Description
The RF Master Set is a simple, radio-frequency (RF) controlled
access organization system.
The RF Master Set comprises at least one RF controlled 815DK-
M/RF electronic cylinder and one RF Switchpoint.
The electronic cylinder (locking cylinder) can be controlled via
the RF Switchpoint from any existing access control system or
other devices that have a zero-potential switch as an enabling
element.
The RF Switchpoint evaluates the zero-potential switch and
enables the locking cylinder via an AES encrypted RF signal.
The distance between the RF Switchpoint and the locking
cylinder may be up to 10 m allowing a wide range of use of the
devices inside the building.
The RF Switchpoint was designed to allow incorporation in both
CES standard enclosures and existing devices of access control
systems.
The locking cylinder comprises an RF transceiver and in
addition a Mifare reader and control unit so that in case of an
emergency, any Mifare Classic transponder may be used as a
key.
In case of a power failure or a failure of the access control
system, the user thus has a battery-operated locking cylinder
with a Mifare transponder as an (emergency) key.
This means that the locking cylinder can serve as an easily
installed replacement of electrical door openers or other actors
without requiring any wiring on the door.
