WARNING
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Stalling, rolling backwards or improperly dismounting while
climbing a hill.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
The vehicle could overturn.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Maintain steady speed when climbing a hill.
IF ALL FORWARD SPEED IS LOST:
Close the throttle. Keep your weight uphill. Apply the front brake.
When fully stopped, apply the foot brake as well, then shift the
gear selector to the park position.
IF THE Vehicle BEGINS ROLLING:
Keep weight uphill. Never apply engine power.
Never apply the foot brake while rolling backwards. Apply the
front brake. When fully stopped, apply the foot brake and shift
the gear selector to the parking position. Dismount on uphill
side, or to either side if Vehicle is pointed straight uphill.
Turn the Vehicle around and remount, following the procedure
described in the owner’s manual.
