Traditional hand-brewed filter coffee is especially

aromatic and tastes delicious. The following steps

explain the correct method for using your ChangBERT

pour over kettle:

1. Fill the kettle with water (max. 22oz / 650ml) and place on

a heat source.

2. Place a coffee filter in a filter holder and add ground coffee.

Recommendation: Grind the coffee to a medium grind

level shortly before use.

3. Recommended amount 50 to 60g of ground coffee per

liter of water. Example: To make 2 large cups with a

capacity of 9.4oz (275ml) use 20.5oz (600ml) of water.

You will need 33 to 36g of ground coffee.

4. Remove the kettle with the boiling water from the heat and

allow to cool briefly. The ideal brewing temperature is

around 197-205°F (92-96°C).

5. Start brewing by moistening the ground coffee (1st pour):

Pour the water slowly using circular movements from the

middle outwards, until the ground coffee is completely wet.

Then wait for a short time until the water flows through. In

this phase the coffee swells and the roasting gases

escape (blooming).

6. Slowly pour on the remaining water (2nd pour). Be careful

to always pour the water directly onto the ground coffee,

not onto the paper edges of the coffee filter! Pour at the
