Operation
1st Universe
Sets the primary Input/Output universe. When using HTP/LTP signal merging, and operating in Output
mode, this will work in unison with the 2nd universe setting to merge data from 2 different IP addresses.
1.
Select the DMX port to configure as instructed in
Set DMX Port
.
2.
Use the knob to select
7. 1st Universe
.
3.
Press the knob.
4.
Use the knob to select from range options (differs based on Disp Type and Protocol selections):
•
000–255
: When Disp Type is set to DEC & Protocol is set to ArtNet.
•
001–256
: When Disp Type is set to DEC & Protocol is set to sACN.
•
00H–7FH
: When Disp Type is set to HEX & Protocol is set to ArtNet.
•
01H–80H
: When Disp Type is set to HEX & Protocol is set to sACN.
5.
Press the knob.
2nd Universe
Sets the secondary Output universe. When using HTP/LTP signal merging, and operating in Output mode,
this will work in unison with the 1st universe setting to merge the data from 2 different IP addresses.

Select the DMX port to configure as instructed in
Set DMX Port
.
2.
Use the knob to select

(option will only display if DMX Status is set to OUTPUT
& DMX Mode is set to HTP or LTP).
3.
Press the knob.
4.
Use the knob to select from range options (differs based on Disp Type and Protocol selections):
•
000–255
: When Disp Type is set to DEC & Protocol is set to ArtNet.
•
001–256
: When Disp Type is set to DEC & Protocol is set to sACN.
•
00H–7FH
: When Disp Type is set to HEX & Protocol is set to ArtNet.
•
01H–80H
: When Disp Type is set to HEX & Protocol is set to sACN.
5.
Press the knob.
Resend 2 Net-U
The Net-X II can broadcast the merged universe from the above 2 settings back onto the network. This
new merged universe can be accessed from another DMX output port on the Net-X II, or on another device
on the network (including a lighting fixture accepting ArtNet/sACN). This setting determines which universe
to rebroadcast onto the network.

Use the knob to select

OUTPUT & DMX Mode is set to HTP or LTP).
3.
Press the knob.
4.
Use the knob to select from range options (differs based on Disp Type and Protocol selections):

000–255
: When Disp Type is set to DEC & Protocol is set to ArtNet.
•
001–256
: When Disp Type is set to DEC & Protocol is set to sACN.
•
00H–7FH
: When Disp Type is set to HEX & Protocol is set to ArtNet.
•
01H–80H
: When Disp Type is set to HEX & Protocol is set to sACN.
5.
Press the knob.
LCD Backlight
To set the amount of time after inactivity before the display backlight turns off, follow the instructions below:
1.
Use the knob to select

2.
Press the knob.
3.
Use the knob to select from the following options,
1. On
(does not turn off),
2. 10 Seconds
(turns
off after 10 seconds of inactivity),
3. 30 Seconds
(turns off after 30 seconds of inactivity), or
4.
Exit
(to cancel).
4.
Press the knob.
If merging the same universe from 2 different controllers, and DO NOT want to
rebroadcast this universe back to the network, set the 1st universe, 2nd universe, and
Resend universe to the same value.
