SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
■
Use the correct fuse or risk damaging the device and rendering
your guarantee void.
0.1 A HRC safety fuse (660 V - 10 kA – 6.3 x 32 mm)
n
Never use on voltage networks exceeding 600 V (in relation
to earth) or in overload category III or higher, i.e. fixed industrial
and domestic installations (see IEC 664-1).
n
For indoor use only, in environments where the degree of
pollution is 2 at the most (see IEC 664-1), the temperature
is between O and + 50°C and the relative humidity is less
than 70%.
n
Use accessories that comply with the safety standards (NF
EN 61010-2-031) of 600 V voltage (min) and at least in
overload category III.
n
Never open up the multimeter casing before having
disconnected all electrical sources.
n
Never connect the multimeter to a measurement circuit if the
casing is not correctly closed.
n
Before any measurement is carried out, make sure that the
leads and switch are in the correct positions.
n
Never carry out resistance measurement on a live circuit.
n
In order to avoid damage to the K thermocouple, do not raise
the thermocouple voltage to above 24 V RMS or 60 DC in
relation to earth.
