Switching on
On initial power-up, the controller indicates its model number in the display •, along with the software
version in the display ‚ (the software version is important, and should be quoted to your Chauvin Arnoux
agent when seeking technical assistance). The controller then tests every LED segment in the displays,
as well as the Control Output and Alarm Output indicators.
Once the controller has completed its power up routine (about 5 seconds), it returns to its normal
operating mode.
The display • will now display the process variable (providing the controller has a correctly connected
sensor on its input terminals). The SV display ‚ will indicate the setpoint value.
If the controller has previously auto tuned itself to the process, and providing all the controller parameters
are correctly set, it will now control the process to the setpoint.
To change the setpoint, use the Raise and Lower keys until the desired value appears en the display.

Program synopsis
The access to the menu is done by pressing the Scroll key for at least 6 s. The flow chart below shows
the logical sequence in which the controller parameters are displayed. Due to the flexi-bility of the SEL
(Select) function, the flow chart shows the sequence only when SEL = 0. A full description of the SEL
function is given in § 3.6.
