We recommend that you use the grounding wrist strap that is included in 
the upgrade kit. The grounding plug on the rear of the Security Management 
Appliance provides a chassis grounding point.

To prepare the Security Management Appliance: 

1.

 

From the WebUI or the CLI, shut down the Security Management Appliance.   

2.

 

Use the power switch to turn off power to the Security Management 
Appliance. 

3.

 

Remove the power cords from the Security Management Appliance. 

4.

 

Put on the ESD strap and attach the other end to a grounding point. 

5.

 

Loosen the Security Management Appliance cover screws. 

6.

 

Remove the top cover from the Security Management Appliance.
