OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place the stoneware into the heating base, add your room temperature ingredients to
the stoneware, and cover with the lid.
2. Plug in your slow cooker and select the temperature setting from the three setting
options. Low is recommended for slow "all-day" cooking. One hour on High is equivalent
to approximately 1.5- 2 hours on Low. Refer to your specific recipe for more precise
cook times. Warm is ONLY for keeping already cooked food at the perfect serving
temperature until you are ready to eat. DO NOT cook on the Warm setting.
NOTE
: We do not recommend using the Warm setting for more than 4 hours.
3. When cooking is done, unplug your slow cooker and allow it to cool before cleaning.
CAUTION:
When removing the lid, follow the lid directions. Remember the lid can be hot
and steam will escape from your cookware. To avoid burns, always hold cover so that
escaping steam flows away from your hands and face.
HOW TO USE YOUR LOCKING LID
Your slow cooker comes with a suction seal locking lid. This feature ensures the safe and
spill-free transport of your food.
1. Place the lid on the center of the stoneware insert. Start with the hinge parts opened, black
tabs up, and metal loops horizontally facing outward.
2. Lower the rounded, metal, wire portion of the “U” shaped hinge by adjusting the black plastic
tabs. The rounded wire loop should be tightly around the bottom of the black round knob
sticking out of the base’s right and left sides.
3. When you have secured the metal locking loops, push down on the black hinge tabs. You will
hear a suction sound. Push fully on the black hinge tabs until you hear a clicking noise. The
hinge should be flat on the lid as this time.
4. Unlock by lifting the black hinge tabs and lowering the “U” shape metal wires down and off
the side knobs.
NOTE:
Unit should not be in the locked position while cooking.
CAUTION:
NEVER attempt to lift or carry your slow cooker by the lid handle. Always use the
handles on each side of the base of the unit.
