OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
•
Ingredients for a particular dish may be prepared in advance and stored in stoneware in the
refrigerator until ready to cook. Allow the stoneware to return to room temperature before
you turn on the base. DO NOT preheat base before adding stoneware. NEVER heat the
stoneware insert when it is empty.
• You can season stoneware by spraying vegetable oil on it or baking high-fat foods
in it the first few times you use it. After this, your stoneware will begin to season
and you will notice that it has developed a non-stick surface and doesn't require
non-stick sprays anymore. A good motto to remember is "The worse it looks, the better is
cooks!" Seasoned stoneware will darken and this finish will remain on the stoneware.
HOW TO USE YOUR SLOW COOKER
You will be amazed at how many uses you can find for the Natural Casserole Slow Cooker.
Slow cook overnight to wake up to a delicious breakfast casserole, entertain for brunch
with a yummy quiche, or prep your ingredients in the morning and come home to a hot
homemade meal that’s ready when you are. Truly versatile, this appliance can make more
than just casseroles! Whether you want an easy and comforting meal for a family dinner, or an
impressive dish or dessert for a potluck, the possibilities are endless.
Using a slow cooker is different than conventional cooking. Your slow cooker cooks with a low,
moist heat. Remember that if you are using your favorite stovetop or oven recipes they will
need to be adjusted for this cooking method. Many slow cooker recipes can be found online,
on ClubChefman.com, or in slow cooker cookbooks.
