rial number, see front page) fulfils the following essential re-
quirements of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and must
not be put into service until the final machinery, into which it
is to be incorporated, has been declared in conformity with
that Directive. It is in conformity with the following Direc-
tive(s):
2006/42/EC (Annex I, clauses 1.1, 1.2 (excluding 1.2.4.3),
1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7)

Intended Use
This motor is designed to be incorporated into a fixed or
moving machine. It is either for right hand rotation only, left
hand rotation only, or reversible rotation and should be
mounted by the flange or threaded nose only, as appropriate.
No other use permitted.
The risk of motors being the source of ignition of a poten-
tially explosive atmosphere is extremely small. The user is
responsible for assessing the risks associated with the whole
machine into which the motor is to be incorporated.

Hot Spots
The following hot spots on the motor can reach high temper-
atures during operation. The image shows hot spots for spe-
cific models:
• Seal ring at the output shaft (A, B, C)
• Joint between front part and gear ring (A, B)
• Key grip (A, B)
