• Do not attempt to open or repair the device in case of fault or damage. In the event of faults or damage to the appliance in
general, to the motor unit or to the mains adaptor, contact our qualified personnel. Any repair/service made directly by the
user may lead to severe risks to her or to any third party’s safety further to irreparably damage the appliance and imply the
immediate termination of the warranty.
• If the packaging appears to be damaged, check the state of all the components and parts of the appliance. If the mains
adaptor and the motor unit proved to be undamaged, wash all the components of the kit following the instructions given
in the paragraph “CLEANING” as a precaution.
• Before use, remove and dispose of all plastic bags and packaging materials and keep them out of reach of children; they
may be a source of danger.
• After removing any packaging materials, ensure that the device has not been damaged. In case of doubt, do not use the
appliance and contact technically competent personnel or go where the product was originally purchased.
• Make sure that the appliance is placed on a level, stable surface when used in order to avoid spillage and prevent it from falling.
• Do not place the appliance on delicate surfaces or surfaces that may be sensitive to humidity and heat.
• Do not use the appliance while taking a bath or shower, or when in a damp place, or close to bath-tubs, sinks, washbasins,
or in any other situation in which there are liquids that may come into contact with the appliance.
• Make sure that, when in use, the kit is not too from the motor unit so that the latter does not fall.
• When using any electrical appliance, it is necessary to follow a few basic safety rules:
- Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
- Keep the appliance and the mains adaptor away from heat sources.
- Do not touch the appliance and the mains adaptor: if they accidentally fall into water, or accidentally come into con-
tact with water or milk. Immediately disconnect the power supply using the master switch in your home and then
disconnect the plug of the mains adaptor from the socket before touching the appliance. Do not use the appliance
but contact qualified personnel.
- If the appliance and/or the mains adaptor and/or the connection cord between the mains adaptor and the motor
unit are faulty and/or not operating correctly, immediately switch off the appliance, disconnect the plug of the mains
adaptor from the mains socket, do not attempt to tamper with or use the appliance but contact qualified personnel.
• The appliance must be cleaned and dried thoroughly at the end of every operating cycle.
• If the appliance is not going to be used for a prolonged period, it should be thoroughly cleaned and the batteries (if installed)
removed before storing it in a clean and dry place away from light and heat sources and according to the storage and trans-
port instructions.
• If you decide not to use the appliance any more, remove the alkaline batteries, if present, and remove the output cable from
the mains adaptor (after disconnecting the plug from the mains socket) to make it unusable, do not dispose of it as normal
urban waste but as waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) as required by EU Directive 2012/19/EU or by the laws
in force in the countries where it is sold.
• Always remove alkaline batteries if you decide not to use the device for a long time. Failure to comply with this warning
may cause leaking of acid with consequent damage and chemical contamination of the appliance.
• To avoid any risk of fire or electric shock, ensure that the cable connecting the mains adaptor and the appliance does not
pass under any carpets or close to radiators, stoves and heaters.
• Operate the appliance at a temperature range b5°C and +40°C. Use outside these temperature limits, and in
particular above the upper limit, may cause the appliance to overheat with consequent damage to it and/or risk of burns
or access to live parts of it by the user.
• The appliance has no protection against oxygen-rich environments or atmospheres saturated with flammable anaes-
thetic mixtures (CATEGORY AP) or with flammable anaesthetic with oxidants (CATEGORY APG): we therefore recommend
that the appliance should not be used in environments, including domestic areas, where there is a patient using home
oxygen therapy.
• The appliance is designed to operate only with the components supplied in the original packaging and with a 150-ml
feeding bottle. Use with other components or with feeding bottles with higher capacities may not guarantee the stated
performance.
• The appliance must not be used continuously for more than 30 minutes. When you have finished using it, the appliance
must be switched off for at least 30 minutes. If the appliance is used for longer than the permitted maximum operating time,
even though it has a system to automatically switch it off after 40 minutes, this may cause the appliance to overheat with
consequent damage to it and/or risk of burns or access to live parts of it by the user.

WARNINGS - REMOVING AND INSERTING BATTERIES
• Non-rechargeable batteries must only be replaced by an adult.
• To replace the non-rechargeable batteries: remove the cover, remove the exhausted non-rechargeable batteries from
the compartment, insert the new non-rechargeable batteries ensuring to follow the right polarity, reposition the cover.
Failing to match the polarity markings when replacing batteries may cause them to overheat, damaging the appliance
and causing leakage of acid.
