INSTALLATION
WARNING:
Failure to provide adequate structural strength
for this component can result in serious personal injury or
damage to equipment! It is the installer’s responsibility to
make sure the structure to which this component is attached
can support five times the combined weight of all equipment.
Reinforce the structure as required before installing the
component.
1.
Install ceiling plate following instructions included with the
ceiling plate.
NOTE:
The ceiling plate may be an above-ceiling model (such
as the CMA440), or a standard below-ceiling plate
(such as the CMS115).
2.
Install extension column following instructions included with
the extension column.
3.
Remove one screw from door at each end of CMA480. (See
Figure 1)

Open doors of CMA480. (See Figure 2)

5.
Loosen carriage bolts and open clamp bracket. (See
Figure 3)

6.
Lift CMA480 up and onto extension column, and place
CMA480 flush with the ceiling.
7.
Tighten clamp bracket around column, and tighten carriage
bolts. (See Figure 4)
