Displays and descriptions of different statuses
Standby status: The The red LED flashes once every 40 seconds, indicating that the smoke alarm device is working
properly.
Alarm and test status: If the test button is pressed, or if the smoke alarm device detects combustion particles and
triggers an alarm (constant tone), the red LED flashes once per second. The LED and the pulsing alarm will continue to
flash until the air is clear or the test button is released.
Low battery voltage status: If the battery voltage drops and long-term good monitoring can no longer be guaranteed,
interval beeps will sound combined with the red flashing LED flashing approximately every 40 seconds. The smoke
alarm must be replaced immediately.
Error status: approx.16 seconds after the alarm has been triggered flashes, approx. Every 40 seconds, the red LED flashes
once each time.
Silent mode status: The red LED flashes once every 8 seconds after pressing the test button in the alarm status.
Installation: Before commissioning the smoke alarm device, it is important to activate it and test it for correct
operation.
Activation:
Press and hold the test button for about 3 seconds until the LED indicator lights up. Then immediately release the test
button. The smoke alarm will beep to indicate that it has been activated.Hinweis: If no sound is generated, the smoke
alarm device has not been activated correctly and must not be used! The device must not be deactivated!
test
A test is required immediately after activation; test the device to ensure proper operation by pressing the test button
for at least 5 seconds. This will trigger an alarm if the electronic circuit, alarm speaker and battery are working
properly.
If no alarm is triggered, the device has a bad battery or some other fault. See the "Troubleshooting" section to find a
solution.
DO NOT use an open flame to test your alarm. Doing so could damage the alarm or ignite flammable materials and
start a fire.
CAUTION: Due to the volume (85 decibels) of the alarm, you should always stay a full arm's length from the device
when testing.
An irregular or low volume of your alarm can indicate a defective smoke alarm; You can find a solution to this in the
"Troubleshooting" section.
NOTE: A WEEKLY TEST IS MANDATORY.
