The following checks have to be carried out regularly on the protection and safety devices:
•
emergency stop and cycle restart;
−
start a new working cycle;
−
push the EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON;
−
make sure the machine stops;
−
release the EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON;
−
push the START switch;
−
make sure the working cycle restarts;
•
working cycle stop upon lifting the protection top cover from the tray:
−
start a new working cycle;
−
lift the protection top cover while the tray is moving;
−
make sure the working cycle stops.
Repeat the above check-ups every six months.
7.5
Starting-up
Make sure the cutter is adequately connected to the mains supply, and that the following are met:
−
the machine is plugged into a standard, single-phase 10 amp (minimum) wall socket with a
ground terminal;
or alternatively
−
the machine is plugged into an industrial, single-phase 10 amp (minimum) wall socket with
a ground terminal;
−
switch the machine on by pushing the general on/off button (green/red) located on the back,
next to the Emergency mushroom push button;
−
push the start button on the control panel;
−
make sure the green light (LIRA cutter) OR the blue light (LIRA PLUS cutter) on the
START button are on.
Now the machine is powered and ready for use.
7.6
Use
The procedure can be seen also on the demonstration CD.
Lift the protection top cover.
Apply the cutting frame.
Place the product on the tray.
Pull back down the protection top cover.
Set the cutting speed by rotating the speed/power control dial (LIRA cutter) or pressing the – and +
buttons (LIRA PLUS cutter) on the control panel.
Turn the mode selector dial right (LIRA cutter) or press the
⇒
switch (LIRA PLUS cutter) on the
control panel. Cutting begins and goes on until the end stroke is reached as automatically signalled
by the control system.
Remove the cut product by lifting the product recovery tray.
