ETHERNET CONNECTION AND IP SETTINGS
Connect the interface to the local network (LAN or WLAN) via RJ45 cable attached to its Ethernet port.
Power the interface with DC input (5-24V) or via the USB cable (5V).
The interface will be detected by the control software when running on a computer connected to the same network.
1st connection (DHCP or Static IP)
The default static IP address is 192.168.0.5 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
To configure the device for DHCP mode:
Press the Mode button for 4 seconds. Use the + and
–
buttons to select F2 mode, then select (dh) and press the Confirm
button to set the interface to DHCP mode. The same procedure will return the interface to IP mode by selecting (iP).
DHCP mode is used on local networks where a DHCP server manages all connected device IP addresses.
Static IP addresses are used on local networks without DHCP servers and when connecting directly to a computer (no
access point, router or switch).
Once the interface is connected to the LAN, start the so
ftware and select “Ethernet"
. All interfaces on the network will be
detected and displayed in the list. Uncheck interfaces that are not needed.
In DHCP mode, if the interface does not receive a valid IP address from the DHCP server, the interface will default to its
static IP address to establish the Ethernet communication and the interface display will show
“iP” after
a few seconds.

interface’s
network configuration:
