18. TROUBLESHOOTING
Type of FAULT
Possible CAUSES
Possible SOLUTION
The Green POWER
LED on the
transmitter is not on.
Incorrect power supply, short-circuit, power
cable interruption
Check the power voltage applied to
terminals 1 and 2.
The LEDs on the
receiver do not
switch on.
Incorrect power supply, short-circuit, power
cable interruption
Check the power voltage on terminals 1
and 2.
The Alarm LEDs on
the receiver do not
switch on.
The signal is removed in reflection mode, or
rather from the other transmitter and therefore
it is not interrupted upon crossing.
Not all three lenses are obscured.
Crossing time programming is not suitable for
crossing speed.
Better align the modules or remove the
reflective or transmitting object.
Completely obscure all lenses.
Adjust intervention time, adapting it to
installation requirements.
The Alarm LED
switches on but no
alarm is sent to the
central control unit.
Short-circuit on connection cables
Connection error of alarm contacts or in
central control unit input configuration
Check cables and the alarm contact.
Connect the able correctly or adapt the
input configuration to central control unit
characteristics (NC.- Balancing – etc.).
The Alarm LED is
always on.
Modules are not properly aligned.
There are objects or obstacles between the
transmitter and the receiver.
The front is dirty or damaged.
Channel selection is incorrect.
Align modules.
Remove obstacles.
Clean the front.
Select channels correctly.
The Alarm LED
switches on and
switches off
continuously
(random alarms).
Incorrect external connections
Incorrect power voltage
An object is moving inside the protected area.
The equipment support is not stable.
Incorrect alignment
Sensitivity too high
The alignment signal is lower than the optimal
level when the front is closed or interferences
from other infrared, optical, or illuminator
emission sources.
Check wiring, false contacts.
Check values and consistency of the
supply voltage.
Remove the obstacle.
Secure the support and equipment.
Proceed with careful alignment.
Adjust settings with a lower sensitivity.
Search for maximum possible alignment.
Check for interferences from other infrared
transmitters (own signal level/adjacent
optical signal ratio)
