4.2. Channel Programming (7-8)
Set dip 7 to ON and dip 8 to OFF to enable frequency channel selection, using the first three
dip as specified in the table below.
In this configuration, the set channel number will be shown on the 7-segment (Digit) display.
Set dip 8 back to ON after having selected the channel to be used.
4.3. Channel Selection
Pre-set the dip switch (from 1 to 3) for channel selection:

Channels can only be saved when dip 7 is set to ON and dip 8 is set to OFF, as specified
above. The channel selected for the receiver mode must correspond with the same set on the
transmitter.
In the case of multiple modules in the same direction, you must arrange different frequencies (8
selectable channels) for each of them and perfectly align the corresponding transmitters and
receivers with the same selected frequency. Verify that the influence of adjacent modules is less
than a numerical value of at least 0.5 with respect to its received signal level (par. 4.3.1).
4.3.1. Signal Level Display (7-8)
Set dips 7 and 8 to ON for activate display the quantity of infrared signal available on the optical
receiver. The voltage value shown on the display can vary from 0.0 to 3.3 and is proportional to
the signal level (try therefore to obtain the maximum possible voltage). At the end, leave the dip
switches in this position with equipment in normal service.
4.3.2. Buzzer Selection (9)
Dip 9 activates and deactivates the internal product Buzzer.
Set to ON, the Buzzer activates in alarm conditions (intrusion detected). Set to OFF, it is
deactivated (default condition).
4.3.3. Relay Contact Selection (10)
Dip 10 selects the type of relay contact, present on the receiver module.
Set to ON, contacts are NO type. In OFF position, they are NC type.
Receiver dip switches are set as default to the following for both NEWTON-L and NEWTON-
LKIT products:
Dip 1, 2, 3 → to OFF (Channel 1)
Dip 7, 8 → to ON (Normal Operation / View of RX Signal Power on Display)
Dip 9 → to OFF (Buzzer Deactivated)
Dip 10 → to OFF (NC type contacts)
Dip 4, 5, 6 → not used
