1. Use the skid steer tilt function to place the attachment in a near vertical position.
2.
Shutoff hydraulic flow to the brush cutter, and release pressure from the auxilary
hydraulic circuit.
3. Turn OFF skid steer engine, SET parking brake, and CHOCK skid steer tracks/tires
to prevent skid steer from moving.
4. SECURE the front end of the cutter deck with an overhead hoist and chain. If you
are performing this procedure in the field, lean the cutter head against a large,
stable tree that has a diameter of at least 10 inches (see
Figure 4.4a
below).
5.
REMOVE the six 3/4 inch cap screws that secure the holder to the gearbox shaft. If
the blade holder fails to seperate, use a wedge breaker tool to help seperate the
blade holder from the gearbox flange.
Use a hoist, lift table or forklift to support the blade holder during
removal.
