Supplying Power
Connecting the AC Power Cord
To connect the power cord, follow these steps:
Step 1
Connect one end of each power cord to the power connectors on the rear panel. (See
Figure 3-14
.)

Step 2
Latch the clips provided on the power supply of the chassis to each power cord.
Step 3
Connect the other end of the power cords to the power outlets.
Warning
The plug-socket combination must be accessible at all times because it serves as the
main disconnecting device. To see translations of the warnings that appear in the

Step 4
Power ON the universal gateway.
The internal power supply fan should power on.
Wiring the DC Power Supply
If you ordered the universal gateway with a DC power supply, follow the procedure in this section to
wire the terminal block.
Warning
A readily accessible two-poled disconnect device must be incorporated in the fixed
