Add Users to Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Adding users to Cisco Unified Communications Manager allows you to display and maintain information
about users and allows each user to perform these tasks:
•
Access the corporate directory and other customized directories from a Cisco Unified IP Phone.
•
Create a personal directory.
•
Set up speed dial and call forwarding numbers.
•
Subscribe to services that are accessible from a Cisco Unified IP Phone.
You can add users to Cisco Unified Communications Manager by using one of these following methods:
•
To add users individually, choose
User Management
>
End User
from Cisco Unified Communications
Manager Administration.
For more information, see the
“
End User Configuration
”
chapter in the
Cisco Unified Communications
Manager Administration Guide
.
•
To add users in batches, use the Bulk Administration Tool. This method also enables you to set an
identical default password for all users.
For more information, see the
“
Bulk Administration
”
chapter in the
Cisco Unified Communications
Manager Administration Guide
.
User Options Web Pages Management
From the User Options web pages, users can customize and control several phone features and settings. For
detailed information about the User Options web pages, see the user guide.
Set Up Access to User Options Web Pages
Before a user can access the User Options web pages, you must add the user to the standard Cisco Unified
Communications Manager end user group and associate the appropriate phone with the user.
Make sure to provide end users with the following information about the User Options web pages:
•
The URL for accessing the application. This URL is:
http://<server_name:portnumber>/ccmuser
/, where
server_name
is the host on which the web server
is installed and
portnumber
is the port number on that host.
•
A user ID and default password for accessing the application.
