Chapter 2 Cisco CMTS Configuration Commands
cable intercept
which is available at the following URL at the PacketCable web site:
http://www.packetcable.com/downloads/specs/pkt-sp-esp-I01-991229.pdf
Tip
This command cannot be used on subinterfaces. To monitor traffic on a subinterface, configure the
cable
intercept
command on the main interface, and the Cisco CMTS router will match on the packets’ MAC
address to filter the appropriate traffic.
Examples
The following commands specify that a copy of all traffic for the CM with the MAC address of
0080.fcaa.aabb should be forwarded to the data collector that is listening at UDP port 512 at the IP
address of 10.12.13.8. The
show interface cable intercept
command displays which intercepts are
currently active.
