To enable the telco-return CM to operate in manual-dial mode, use the
cable telco-return spd manual-
dial
command in cable interface configuration mode. To restore the default value, use the
no
form of this
command.

This command sets the Manual Dial vendor-specific parameter in the specified SPD in Telephony
Channel Descriptor (TCD) messages.
Note
This command is available only in images that support telco-return. These images have a “t” as part of
the image name.

The following example shows how to set manual-dial mode for SPD 1:

Selects a different IP address for the telco-return CM to send its

authenticate
Indicates that telco-return CMs must use a specific DHCP server.
