Using the torque wrench, tighten the two M6 hex nuts attaching the grounding L-bracket to the power shelf to a torque
of 20 in.-lb (2.26 N-m).

Removing Power Shelf Grounding Brackets
This section describes how to remove the power shelf grounding brackets for the LCC modular configuration
power supply. The procedure for removing the power shelf grounding brackets is the same for both the AC
and DC modular configuration power supplies.
Prerequisites
Before performing this task, power down and remove any PMs and the alarm module in the shelf you want
to remove, and remove the power wiring. See

Required Tools and Equipment
You need the following tools to perform this task:
• ESD-preventive wrist strap
• 3/8-in. ratchet wrench with 10-mm socket
Steps
To remove the power shelf grounding brackets, perform the following steps:
SUMMARY STEPS
1.
Attach the ESD-preventive wrist strap to your wrist and connect its leash to one of the ESD connection
sockets on the rear (MSC) side of the chassis or a bare metal surface on the chassis.
2.
Using a 10 mm socket wrench, loosen the two M6 hex nuts that attach the grounding L-bracket to the
power shelf. Do not fully remove.
3.
Using a 10 mm socket wrench, loosen the four M6 hex bolts that attach the grounding bracket to the power
shelves. Do not fully remove.
4.
Use a 10 mm socket wrench to remove the two M6 hex bolts that attach the grounding L-bracket to the
chassis.
5.
Remove the two M6 hex nuts that attach the grounding L-bracket to the shelf grounding bracket.
6.
Remove the grounding L-bracket.
7.
Remove the four M6 hex bolts that attach the shelf grounding bracket to the power shelves.
8.
Remove the shelf grounding bracket from the power shelves.
