How Do I Configure the Wireless Home Gateway?
Setup Wireless - Advanced Page Description
This section describes the section headings and fields descriptions of the Setup
Wireless - Advanced page.
Note:
If you make changes in the Setup Wireless - Advanced page, click Apply to
apply and save your wireless advanced settings.
Field Name
Description
54g™ Network
Mode
Allows you to optimize the performance of your wireless network
using one of the following options:
54g Auto (factory default)
Use this setting for wireless networks to provide the widest range
of compatibility with 802.11g and 802.11b client devices.
54g Only
Use this setting for optimal performance for networks comprised
of only 54g client devices.
54g Performance
Use this setting to enable enhanced throughput performance in
54g networks that are comprised only of client devices with 54g
technology.
54g LRS
Use this setting to enable “Limited Rate Support” for maximum
compatibility in wireless networks comprised of both 802.11g and
older 802.11b client devices that may not be fully compatible with
802.11g standards.
802.11b Only
Use this setting in wireless networks comprised only of 802.11b
client devices.
Basic Rate Set
Allows you to select the Basic Rate Set (Default or All)
54g Protection
Allows you to operate 802.11b client devices in 802.11g networks.
Auto (factory default)
Allows 802.11b client devices to operate in the 802.11g wireless
network. Protection will impact the performance of 802.11g client
devices. If your network has all 802.11g client devices, then
protection can be turned off to improve overall performance.
Off
Maximum performance for 802.11g networks with only 802.11g
wireless client devices.
Xpress Technology
Allows you to enable or disable Xpress Technology
Note:
Make sure that your wireless devices support this feature before
enabling it on your gateway.
