Prerequisites for
Cisco G.SHDSL EFM/ATM EHWICs

Ensure that you have the appropriate Cisco router to serve as the host router.
The following Cisco routers support Cisco G.SHDSL EFM/ATM EHWICs:

Use the
show version
command to ensure that the router is running the correct IOS software. The
C888EA and EHWIC-4SHDSL-EA models require Cisco IOS Release Release: <optional, example:
Cisco IOS Release 15.1(1)T> or later.
Note
When minimum release requirements are met, you can change images on the router without
affecting performance.

Information About Cisco G.SHDSL EFM/ATM
Cisco G.SHDSL EFM/ATM EHWICs support up to four pairs of digital subscriber lines (DSL). The
fixed platform model (C888EA) also supports up to four pairs. The DSL pairs are bundled in groups and
configured in the Cisco IOS command-line interface (CLI) by using the
dsl-group
command. Selecting
the mode is done by using the
mode
command.
