Fixed usage
Cisco Nexus 7004 and 7009
•
sup-1 refers to the supervisor module in slot 1.
•
sup-2 refers to the supervisor module in slot 2.
Cisco Nexus 7010
•
sup-1 refers to the supervisor module in slot 5.
•
sub-2 refers to the supervisor module in slot 6.
Cisco Nexus 7018
•
sup-1 refers to the supervisor module in slot 9.
•
sup-2 refers to the supervisor module in slot 10.
sup-active and sup-standby
Relative usage
Cisco Nexus 7004, 7009, 7010, and Cisco Nexus 7018
•
sup-active refers to the active supervisor module—relative to the
slot that contains the active supervisor module.
•
sup-standby refers to the standby supervisor module—relative to
the slot that contains the standby supervisor module.
sup-local and sup-remote
Relative usage
If you are logged into the active supervisor (in any Cisco Nexus 7000
Series chassis), the following applies:
•
sup-local refers to the active supervisor module.
•
sup-remote refers to the standby supervisor module.
If you are logged into the standby supervisor (in any Cisco Nexus
7000 Series chassis), the following applies:
•
sup-local refers to the standby supervisor module (the one that
you are logged into).
•
There is no sup-remote available from the standby supervisor
module (you cannot access a file system on the active supervisor).
