Each Remote PHY Shelf 7200 device has six uplink ports. Each upink port has two VLAN modes—access
mode and trunk mode. Access mode is the default mode.
Each port can be configured in a different VLAN mode. However, if you want to configure link redundancy,
all ports must be configured in the same mode.
In the trunk mode, ingress and egress packets have VLAN tags. In the access mode, packets do not have
VLAN tags.
Configure Trunk VLAN
To configure trunk vlan, follow these steps.
HA-FCC# configure terminal

ID for the IEEE 802.1Q Virtual Local Area Network
(VLAN) that should be used to tag the frames for this
cable modem. The range is 2–4094.
vlan_id
Slot number of the line card. The slot ID can be 0–5
and 7–12.
slot_id
Specify the erpd. The erpd index is typically 0–5.
erpd_index
This example shows how to configure trunk VLAN.
HA-FCC(config)# trunk vlan 423 slot 12 erpd 0
eRPD trunk vlan configured successfully.
Verify Trunk VLAN Configuration
To view the trunk VLAN configuration, follow these steps.
show trunk vlan
