Starting From a Safe Condition
After Operating the Truck
Always leave your lift truck in a safe condition
. When you leave
your truck, or park it, follow these safety rules:
• Park in a safe area away from normal traffic.
• Never park on a grade.
• Never park in areas that block emergency routes or equipment,
access to fire aisles, or stairways and fire equipment.
Before leaving the operator's position:
1. Bring truck to complete stop.
2. Put the directional control lever in the NEUTRAL position.
3. Lower the lift mechanism fully.
4. Set the parking brake (applies automatically).
5. Turn the key switch to the OFF position.
If you are going to leave the truck unattended:
6. Remove the key.
7. Block the wheels if the truck has any possibility of moving.
