Please read this instruction leaflet thoroughly and follow the instructions carefully,
in doing so you will ensure the safety of yourself and that of others around you, this
will also ensure that the Carpet Dryer will give you long and satisfactory service.
GUARANTEE
This CLARKE product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12
months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or tampered
with in any way, or not used for the purpose for which is was intended.
Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can be
returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•
Never place anything on top of the unit and never obstruct its air inlet/outlet
grills (leave 30cm gap around the intake grills to allow the air to circulate).
•
Always switch OFF and unplug the dryer when not in use.
•
Ensure the unit and power socket are switched OFF before plugging into
the power supply.
•
To reduce the risk of electric shock use a suitable RCD (residual current
device).
•
Never pull the unit by its flex.
•
Before cleaning the unit ALWAYS unplug from the power supply, use a soft
cloth wet with soap water to clean and then clean with a dry cloth.
(Do not use liquids which are harmful to plastics & paint).
SETUP AND OPERATION
•
Before inserting the power plug into an electrical outlet, check that the
voltage and frequency on the data plate are in agreement with the local
voltage.
•
Set the unit up on a firm and level surface. (never move the unit whilst it is
operating).
•
Plug the unit into the relevant power supply and switch the supply ON.
•
The unit is switched on by turning the control knob clockwise from the ‘0’
position to the ‘1’ which is the lowest operating speed. The speed can be
increased further by turning the knob to the ‘2’ or ‘3’ position.
•
The air flow from the unit exits from the front ‘mouth’, the intake sides are
where the two circular grills/motor mounting brackets are fitted to the
side of the body.
•
Place the carpet over the mouth of the dryer and secure in place with the
carpet clamp.
