Troubleshooting guide
The product
does not turn
on or turns
off by itself.
•
Make sure the DVD battery is fully charged.
•
Make sure that the mains adaptor and its cable are undamaged
and correctly plugged into the wall socket and DVD player.
•
Check to see if there is power at the wall socket
•
If using a 12 V cable, make sure it is not damaged and that it is
plugged into a 12 V socket and the DVD player.
•
Check to see if there is power at the 12 V socket.
Note:
Some cars need the ignition to be on for the 12 V socket
to work.
•
Start the device by turning it on and off with the switch.
The product
does not
react to
the remote’s
commands.
•
Make sure that the remote control battery is not discharged.
•
Make sure that the battery is inserted correctly.
•
Make sure the remote is aimed at the sensor on the front of
the DVD player.
•
Make sure that nothing is blocking the signal from the remote
and that you are not out of range of the DVD player.
No picture
or sound.
•
Make sure that all sound and video leads are correctly connected.
•
Make sure that the disc is one of the following: DVD, DVD-R,
DVD-RW or CD.
•
Make sure that the disc is whole, scratch-free and inserted cor-
rectly with the label facing upwards.
•
Make sure the DVD player’s laser pickup is not dirty.
Contact Customer Services if this is the case.
•
Make sure that any connected TV is set to the correct channel
(VIDEO, AV, etc.).
•
Change your media file, some files can be damaged or of
poor quality.
No sound.
•
Make sure that the lid is open. When the DVD player lid is closed,
sound can only be activated via the audio or headphone outlet.
•

or picture
•
Check that none of the cables are damaged and that they are all
properly connected.
•
Check the disc. Use a clean and scratch-free disc.
•
