Lubricating the piston
1. Turn the air hammer upside down.
. Hold the trigger and apply a few drops of oil into the air inlet. Use light
motor oil.
3. Connect the air hammer to the air hose and cover the exhaust with
a cloth. Run the hammer for 7 – 10 seconds. Oil will spray out of the
exhaust when you release the air pressure. If the piston does not move
freely, insert a chisel into the retaining spring. Make sure that the cloth
does not get caught in the retaining spring.
Use
Before and After Use
Make sure that there are no cracks or other visible defects on the retaining
spring, chisel or the air hammer itself.
Inserting/Changing Chisels
Bend the spring in order to insert the
chisel into the hammer, making sure
the chisel’s collar is placed behind
the retaining spring and cannot
come out.
If the piston should stop
1. Use a hammer and punch of sufficient size.
. Try to knock loose the piston with the punch.
Storage
Lubricate the tool after use. Follow the aforementioned lubrication schedule
with the exception of p.3. Run the hammer for - 3 sec. instead of 7 - 10
sec. The hammer requires more lubrication when stored.
