•
Do not place the external enclosure where it may be exposed to heat or direct
sunlight.
•
Do not place the enclosure in the vicinity of a strong magnetic field, e.g., a TV,
large speakers, etc. This could delete data or cause the hard disk to malfunction.
•
Handle the hard disk carefully. It cannot withstand blows or vibrations.
•
Note: The computer must have working USB 2.0 ports to utilise the higher transfer
speeds USB 2 ports provide. USB 1.1 ports use only the lower transfer speed.
5. Inserting a 2.5” SATA hard disk into
the external enclosure
1. Loosen the two screws on the
card side with USB connection
and remove the board and printed
circuit card.
2. Press the hard disk’s SATA con-
nection onto the enclosure’s
matching jack. Make sure the
hard disk connection and the en-
closure’s jacks fit firmly together.
3. Replace the printed circuit card
with the assembled hard disk as
the picture shows (turn the cover
correctly it fits in only one way).
4. Screw back on the two screws
that hold the card side tight.
