Care and Maintenance
Check your ear defenders regularly. The cushions should be
intact, the cups free from cracks and the headband should
be flexible. The protection afforded by the ear defenders
is reduced if the ear cup cushions are damaged. The ear
defenders should be replaced.

Description
Ear defenders with folding plastic headband and foam plastic
filled ear cup cushions. Provide excellent protection when
worn properly and given adequate care. Filter the high levels
of noise from e.g. power tools and chain saws.
Declaration of Conformity
These ear defenders conform to EN 352-1:2002
Specification, Ear Protectors – Safety requirements and
testing part 1, and therefore conform to appendix 2 of
the Ear-Muffs Directive 89/686/EEC.

Use
Always put on the ear defenders before exposing yourself
to noise and wear them at all times.
1. Pull the ear cups down from the headband.
2. Open the ear defenders as far as possible.
3. Make sure that the cushions are not deformed or
creased, allow them to expand to their normal size.
4. Extend the headband and place the cups over your ears.
5. Adjust the headband so that it rests on the top of
your head.
6. Adjust the cups until they feel comfortable and are
a snug fit.
Important:
• The ear defenders can deteriorate over time and can even
be damaged by certain chemicals etc.
• Check your ear defenders regularly. The cushions should
be intact, the cups free from cracks and the headband
should be flexible.
• Always put on the ear defenders before exposing yourself
to noise and wear them at all times.
• The ear defenders are of normal size range according to
EN352-1, designed to fit the majority of wearers.
• Wash the ear defenders with soapy water; do not use
strong detergents or alcohol etc.
• Store the ear defenders in a clean, dry and cool place
when not in use.
Warning:
If these directions are not followed, the noise
reduction capability can be impaired.
