Hanging Solar Lantern

Safety
• Do not use the light in an environment where it could be
exposed to gas, steam or dust.
• Only use the recommended type of rechargeable batteries.
• This product must not be modified or adapted in any way.
• Only let a qualified technician perform repairs and using
only original spare parts.
• Do not let children play with the product.
• NEVER use non-rechargeable batteries in the light.
• Standard bulb shaped solar light. Can be hung in trees,
on the balcony, etc.
• Turns on automatically at dusk.

• Comes with a 2/3 AAA 1.2 V/200 mAh NiMH
rechargeable battery.

Operating instructions
1. Hang the lantern in a suitable location.
2. Place the solar panel unit where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
3. The
ON – OFF
switch is located next to the solar cell.
Set the switch to the
ON
position.
4. Let the battery fully charge before using it for the first time.
Changing batteries
The rechargeable battery will eventually need to be replaced.
The battery compartment is located under the solar panel. Re-
move its 3 retaining screws to access the battery.
Only one
2/3 AAA 1.2 V/200 mAh NiMH
rechargeable battery
should be used. The battery is not of a standard size and
replacements may be rather difficult to find in shops.
Care and maintenance
Clean the solar lantern by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth.
Use a mild detergent. Never use solvents or strong, abrasive
cleaning agents.
Troubleshooting
The lantern comes on automatically at dusk and doesn’t light
during the day.
If the solar lantern doesn’t light:
• Make sure the switch is in the
ON
position.
• The light sensor may be blocked and prevent the light from
coming on. Block the solar panel and see if the light comes on.
• The battery is not sufficiently charged. Place the solar panel
in an area where it receives sufficient sunlight.
• The solar panel is dirty. Clean it.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not
be disposed of with general household waste.
This applies throughout the entire EU.
In order to prevent any harm to the environment
or health hazards caused by incorrect waste
disposal, the product must be handed in for
recycling so that the material can be disposed
of in a responsible manner. When recycling
your product, take it to your local collection
facility or contact the place of purchase. They
will ensure that the product is disposed of in
an environmentally sound manner.
